Skymantics promotes interoperable systems and services using open standards and next generation technologies for a more efficient and better connected aviation of the future.
UAS Traffic Management (UTM)
The FAA, NASA, other federal partner agencies, and industry are collaboratively exploring concepts of operation, data exchange requirements, and a supporting framework to enable multiple beyond visual line-of-sight UAS operations at low altitudes (under 400 ft above ground level (AGL)) in airspace where FAA air traffic services are not provided.
Florida NextGen Test Bed (FTB)
Established in 2011, NextGen is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) initiative to modernize the nation’s antiquated air traffic control systems to make air travel safer, more efficient, and more economical.
OGC Testbed 13
The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Innovation Program provides a venue to advance solutions to data challenges through using open standards. In addition to creating new standards, the testbeds provide a unique platform where sponsors can outsource the rapid generation of prototypes and test environments with a number of leading organizations in their field.
NAS Voice Switch (NVS)
The NVS program will replace legacy voice switches at en route and terminal air traffic control (ATC) facilities. It will be a critical component of the ATC infrastructure, providing voice connectivity for efficient communications by linking incoming and outgoing communication lines to controller workstations.
Skymantics offers technical expertise and project management capabilities to government and commercial organizations in the aviation sector.
Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (ATN) over IPS
Design, standardization and integration support of the Next Generation air-ground data link communication system for ATC and airline operations.
