Melbourne, Florida-based Skymantics, an innovation company dedicated to driving global change across industries through emerging technologies, announced today they were awarded the GSA 8(a) STARS III Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) – Contract No 47QTCB22D0349. STARS III is a Best-in-Class 8(a) small business contract that provides flexible access to customized IT solutions from a large, diverse pool of 8(a) industry partners. 

This contract provides IT services and solutions to government-wide agencies and features the following:

“Skymantics is excited about STARS III because it provides a way for agencies to access our unique capabilities that were previously difficult to procure” .... “We look forward to bringing the innovations and emerging technologies such as Artificial intelligence, Machine Learning, automated test modeling, and geospatial solutions to the Ffederal market.”

The General Services Administration (GSA) acquisition solutions offer private sector professional services, equipment, supplies, and IT to government organizations and the military. GSA also promotes management best practices and efficient government operations through the development of government-wide policies. 

“The 8(a) STARS GWAC program represents an inclusive opportunity for small, disadvantaged firms to compete within the federal marketplace and gain valuable experience in navigating agency requirements” said GSA Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Associate Administrator, Exodie C. Roe, III. “More than $18 billion has been awarded through GSA’s 8(a) GWACs, and many successful firms have graduated from the SBA’s 8(a) Program to compete on a larger scale. GSA joins SBA in looking forward to seeing this next-generation contract provide excellent opportunities for small, disadvantaged businesses.”

A GWAC is a pre-competed, multiple-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract that agencies can use to buy total IT solutions.
